MOBILE SAUNA HIRE AGREEMENT

Sauna4U – Wood-Fired, Trailer-Mounted Sauna Hire (UK)

 

IMPORTANT: THIS AGREEMENT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS

This Agreement is entered into between Sauna4U (“the Company”) and the individual making the booking (“the Client”).

 

1. Equipment

The Company provides a wood-fired, trailer-mounted mobile sauna (“the Sauna”).

 

2. Hire Location & Restrictions

The Sauna:

• May only be used at the agreed private address

• Must not be moved, towed, repositioned, or altered

• Must be positioned at least 3 metres from buildings, fences, and flammable materials

• Must remain under responsible adult supervision at all times

The Client confirms that the site is suitable, level, accessible, and safe for use of a wood-fired sauna.

 

3. Hire Period & Responsibility

Responsibility for the Sauna passes to the Client from the time of delivery until collection.

The Client accepts full responsibility during the hire period for:

• The Sauna

• All users and guests

• Any loss, damage, or injury arising from use

 

4. Health, Fitness & Alcohol

The Client acknowledges that sauna use involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

• Heat exposure

• Dehydration

• Burns

• Dizziness

• Fainting

Use is strictly prohibited for anyone who is:

• Visibly intoxicated

• Under the influence of drugs

• Advised against sauna use by a medical professional

Moderate alcohol consumption is permitted.
Unsafe behaviour, intoxication, or misuse will result in immediate termination of hire without refund.

 

5. Children

Children may only use the sauna under direct adult supervision and entirely at the supervising adult’s responsibility.

 

6. Fire Safety (Wood-Fired Sauna)

The Client acknowledges and agrees that:

• The stove and flue are extremely hot when lit

• The fire must never be left unattended

• Only approved, untreated wood provided or specified by the Company may be burned

• No other materials may be burned

• Fire extinguishing equipment is provided

• A carbon monoxide alarm is fitted outside the sauna; users must vacate immediately if the alarm sounds and must not re-enter until it is confirmed safe

 

7. Damage, Loss & Cleaning

The Client is liable for:

• Damage beyond normal wear and tear

• Fire damage caused by misuse

• Excessive cleaning required due to misuse

• Loss of hire time caused by damage

The Company reserves the right to charge reasonable repair and cleaning costs following the hire.

 

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• The Company shall not be liable for injury, loss, or damage resulting from misuse, failure to follow instructions, alcohol misuse, or undisclosed medical conditions

• The Company’s total liability is limited to the total hire fee paid

Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

 

9. Indemnity

The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Company against all claims, losses, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Breach of this Agreement

• Misuse of the Sauna

• Actions or omissions of guests or third parties

 

10. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales.

 

11. Payments

11.1 All hire fees must be paid in full prior to delivery, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
11.2 A booking is not confirmed until payment has been received or a payment arrangement has been agreed.
11.3 Prices include hire for the agreed period and any agreed delivery charges.
11.4 Additional charges arising from extended hire, damage, excessive cleaning, or misuse may be charged after the hire period.
11.5 Failure to make payment when due may result in cancellation.

 

12. Security Deposit (If Applicable)

12.1 The Company reserves the right to require a refundable security deposit.
12.2 The deposit may be used to cover:

• Damage beyond normal wear and tear

• Excessive cleaning

• Loss of equipment

• Additional costs arising from misuse

12.3 Any remaining balance will be refunded within a reasonable period following collection.

 

13. Cancellations by the Client

13.1 Cancellations must be made in writing.

13.2 Cancellation charges apply as follows:

• More than 7 days before hire: Full refund

• 3–7 days before hire: 50% of hire fee payable

• Less than 48 hours before hire: No refund

13.3 Refunds do not include non-recoverable costs already incurred.
13.4 The Company may offer rescheduling at its discretion where reasonable.

 

14. Cancellations by the Company

14.1 The Company may cancel a booking due to:

• Severe weather

• Safety concerns

• Equipment failure

• Circumstances beyond the Company’s reasonable control

14.2 In such cases, all payments made will be refunded in full and no further liability shall arise.

 

15. Termination for Misuse

15.1 The Company may terminate the hire immediately, without refund, if:

• The Sauna is misused

• Safety instructions are ignored

• Alcohol or drugs are misused

• This Agreement is breached

15.2 Termination does not affect the Client’s liability for damage, loss, or additional charges.

 

16. Late Collection / Extended Hire

16.1 If the Sauna cannot be collected at the agreed time due to the Client’s actions or inaction, additional charges may apply.
16.2 The Client must ensure clear access for collection at the agreed time.

 

17. Instructions & Signage

All written instructions, safety notices, signage, and verbal instructions provided by the Company form part of this Agreement and must be complied with at all times.

 

18. Force Majeure

The Company shall not be liable for failure to perform its obligations due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, breakdown, accident, illness, or road conditions.

 

19. No Sub-Hire or Transfer

The Client must not sub-hire, assign, or transfer responsibility for the Sauna to any other person without the Company’s prior written consent.
